Insight
Promising income mix. Watch your concentration.
Live performance is driving your income. Growing streams to 50K+ monthly listeners helps fill more seats — and opens festival bookings, which pay 2–5× per show.
How we built this calculator.
Methodology, sources, and assumptions.
Spotify pays $0.003–$0.005/stream depending on listener country (Tier 1 markets pay 2–3× more), subscription tier (Premium ≈ 3–4× ad-supported), and your share of the global royalty pool. We use $0.004 as the indie-artist midpoint. Your real rate may be higher or lower — this is a directional estimate, not an accounting statement.
